OK, so I'm not really crazy. I have however been described as one of those artsy-craftsy types and I can't remember a time in my life where I didn't want to MAKE SOMETHING.
I learned to knit at a very early age, about 4 years old. I remember knitting lace afghans for my mom and her friends in high school but I didn't really get serious about it until I moved to Florida and needed a hobby. Oh the 80's. Bill Cosby and shoulder pads. I figured I could do better, so there I was in the heat of South Florida designing my own sweaters with the help of library books! The sweater phase didn't last long though because I taught myself to crochet around this same time and I fell in love with doilies and filet crochet everything.
I worked on one doily for two years in tatting thread and a size 14 hook. I got a best of show with it at the Collier Co Fair in 1985. I continued crocheting after our move to Indiana in 1990 and our move back to Illinois in 1992.
Needlework became a full time job for me around 1995 when I quit my factory job once and for all. I learned about crazy quilting in 1997 and was hooked. I have run Crazy Rebecca's since 2001. It started as a crazy quilt supply business but has now become a place for me to sell my needle arts of all types.
My items are all One of a Kind and cannot be exactlly duplicated. I work quickly and with quality control. You must be satisfied!
The Products page gives a small sample of what I can do. PLease feel free to ask me any kind of question about my work.
